BRADY, Mathew (1822-1896), photographer. 2 CDVs originally captured by Brady at a sitting in his studio on 8 January 1864. In one portrait, Lincoln appears seated with his hands resting on the arms of a chair (O-84), with Brady/Anthony imprint, while he stands in the second, with his left arm folded behind his back (O-86), with Brady imprint.

[BERGER, Anthony, photographer]. Portrait of Lincoln in profile, verso imprint of M.P. Simons, Philadelphia, 1865. Originally taken by Anthony Berger in Brady's Gallery, Washington, DC, on 9 February 1864, the portrait is often called the "Penny Profile" pose (O-89). Partial 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso.
